Scope and content: The Copybook Collection dates from 1787 t o
1855 and occupies two cubic f e e t . The c o l l e c t i o n primarily
c o n s i s t s of a r i t h m e t i c and penmanship copybooks of e a r l y
nineteenth century Ohio and Pennsylvania schoolchildren. A
copybook of an Edmonton, England, p u p i l and a corkb book of a
Western Trade Granger's Commercial College student are also
included. The c o l l e c t i o n inventory lists s t u d e n t s ' names,
l o c a t i o n i f known, and dates of copybooks.
