OHIO ( selected) Uhlo Governors' Papers
H I S T O R Y
on Microfilm
44 Rolls
Note to researchers: In 1951, a fire at the Ohio Historical
Society damaged the society's holdings of Ohio Governors' pauers.
Inmediately following the fire, the society microfilmed the papers
dated through 1882. Selected items not filmed in 1951 were filmed
later in 1955 and 1965.
The ( selected) Ohio Governors' Papers available on microfilm as
MIC 999 date from October 1834- 1853, 1860- 1868, 1872- 1876, and
1877- 1882. The papers were filmed in one chronoloaical sequence
and many rolls contain the papers of more than one governor.
Inventories to the collections contained on the microfilm are
filed in the adjacent FISS drawers by the ?? SS numbers listed below.
Rolls 43 and 44 should be checked for missing items of a particular
governor.
