are papers related t o h i s dealings in whiskey, flour, malt, hops,
and grain, as well as those r e l a t i n g t o Cincinnati and Maysville
Steamship Company, and the Cincinnati, Portsmouth, Big Sandy and
Pomeroy Packet Company.
Included are the papers, 1869- 1871, of David Gibson & Co., comprised
of Gibson, Edwin Stevens and G. Holterhoff, business and personal
papers, 1872- 1882, of David Gibson, commission Merchant and steam-boat
company president; papers, 1872- 1877 and 1882 mostly personal
of Robert W. Caldwell, representative of David Gibson; and papers
1878- 1888, of Stevens, Dair & Co., comprised of Edwin Stevens,
William D. Dair, and Charles 5. Dair, Cincinnati, O., commission
merchants dealing i n whiskey, pit, hops and grain. Stevens, Dair
& Co., was the successor t o David Gibson & Co. A few papers, 1882-
