Gilligan Papers as a g i f t of John J. Gilligan, Notre Dame, Indiana, in 1973 and 1975. Thomas J. Rieder processed the collection i n 1975. Marjorie J. Myers revised the inventory i n August 1982. Property r i g h t s : The Ohio Historical Society owns the property r i g h t s to chis collection. Copyrights: A l l copyrights t h a t John J. Gilligan may possess i n t h i s c o l l e c t i o n a r e retained by M r . Gilligan. Consideration of a l l other copyrights is the r e s p o n s i b i l i t y of the author and publisher. Access: Access to t h i s collection is RESTRICTED u n t i l the year 2000, without the written permission of John 3. Gilligan. Citation: Researchers are requested to c i t e collection name, collec-tion number and the Ohio Historical Society i n a l l footnote and bib-liographic references. Transfer: The following material was transferred in July 1982: printed government documents and books to the Library Department; House and Senate b i l l s , s t a t e agency records, and t a s k f o r c e f i l e s t o t h e Archives Department; and a l l tapes, photographs, and other audiovisual material to the appropriate collections. Oral history t r a n s c r i p t s were accessioned by the Manuscripts Department i n 1981. Note to researchers: The Ohio H i s t o r i c a l Society accessioned addendum # l a f t e r processing was completed i n 1975 and the material, therefore, could not be i n t e r f i l e d with the main portion of the c o l l e c t i o n . Reserachers are advised to check addundum iil for ad-d i t i o n a l material on any topic being pursued. Beginning with Box 289, the 1982 inventory d i f f e r s greatly from the one written i n 1975.
