HISTORY
The Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company existed circa 1912 to the 1970’ s. This
collection documents the construction of the company’s power plant in the late 1920’ s.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
The collection consists of 72 black and white 5 ½ by 3 ¼ photographic prints depicting
various construction scenes. Of particular interest are the images of workers, mostly
welding and hoist crews. A large part of the collection consists of duplicate images.

The collection occupies 0.5 cf. and is arranged into 14 folders and organized by subject.
