SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
Collection is comprised of 13 albums, negatives, photographs and 16mm motion picture film dating from the 1920s to 1959. The collection documents step- by- step procedures in the breeding, care and sale of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys in Ohio. Some of the photographs in the collection were published in 1939 by the Ohio World’s Poultry Congress Commission titled “ Ohio and the Poultry Industry.” Many of the photos are the work of Chauncey Wilson, photographer for the Ohio State University Cooperative Extension Service from 1920 until 1959.
