( C L C ) . Before 1970 t h i s i n t e r n a t i o n a l union was known a s t h e
Building S e r v i c e Employees I n t e r n a t i o n a l Union, which was founded
i n 1921. Local 47 was founded i n Cleveland ca. 1947 and by 1983
its j u r i s d i c t i o n reached a s f a r south a s Dayton. C u r r e n t l y t h e
l o c a l m a i n t a i n s t. 10 o f f i c e s , a Cleveland o f f i c e , and a Columbus
o f f i c e , which opened i n 1965.

m a t e r i a l . The c o n t r a c t s a r e arranged a l p h a b e t i c a l l y by c o n t r a c t i n g
o r g a n i z a t i o n i i i t h span d a t e s and l o c a l number, i f o t h e r than Local
47, provided. The miscellaneous m a t e r i a l i n c l u d e s a c o n s t i t u t i o r
of t h e C o l u i i u s I n t e r Union Unity Council and a p e n s i o n plan
employee b e n e f i t booklet from Local 47.
