OHIO H I S T O R Y MSS 239 Charles D. Campbell Family Papers 2 cubic feet Standard inventory Collection Synopsis Provenance: The Ohio Historical Society acquired the Charles D. Campbell Family Papers as a gift of Colin Alfred Campbell, his son, Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1966, 1967, and 1970. Linda Kalette processed the collection in March 1979 and Sherrill Dryden- Baird edited the inventory in April 1981. Property rights: The Ohio Historical Society owns the property rights to this collection. Copyrights: Copyrights have not been dedicated to the public. Consideration of the requirements of copyright is the responsi-bility of the author and publisher. Access: This collection is open under the rules and regulations of the Ohio Historical Society. Citation: Researchers are requested to cite collection name, collection number, and the Ohio Historical Society in all foot-note and bibliographic references. Transfer: Photographs, postcards, maps, and ephemera were trans-ferred to the Audiovisual Department in September 1978 and January 1979. Newspapers, pamphlets, sheet music, and other printed material were transferred to the Library Department in January and February 1979. A military hat, gavel, snuffbox, painting, and other artifacts were transferred to the History Department in January 1979. Related material: Lois Ruth Campbell - U. S. Army Nurse Corps - W. W. C.; transferred to U. S. Patent Office and worked as assistant examiner 1873 Graduated from Columbia Law School 1874 APR 23 Married Emma Lucy Knight; children: Edward Kephart, Marie Estell, Harold Fenlon, Harriet Alma, Lois Ruth, Charles Knight, Emma Ella, Quincy Alexander, Colin Alfred Published newspaper, Allen County Republican, Lima, Ohio, with brother, Archibald Sold interest in newspaper; moved to Bellefontaine, Ohio, and went into grocery business with brother- in- law, Harold E.
