SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE SERIES
The series consists of the subject files kept by Executive Assistants Doug Moorman, Jenifer Carlson, and Joe Andrews in Public Safety and Criminal Justice Services in the office of Governor Bob Taft. The series includes administrative files and topical files pertaining to key issues and state agencies, notably The Adjutant General, Criminal Justice Services, Public Safety, Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, and Department of Youth Services, Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Medical Services, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Homeland Security and Highway Patrol, Ohio National Guard, Dept. of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services, Department of Heath and Department of Aging. Some prominent topics in the series relate to terrorism and security, weather related disasters and power emergencies, and AMBER alert plans.
ORGANIZATION OF THE SERIES
The files are generally in the order in which they were received, with two series, one compiled by Jennifer Carlson, incorporating Doug Moorman’s files and the second compiled by Joe Andrews. They are not in alphabetical or chronological order, but there is a chronological flow.
