SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
The collection is comprised of 34 lantern slides that were made or used by James H. Rodabaugh, who worked with the Ohio Historical Society in the 1950s and 1960s. Twenty-seven slides of Schoenbrunn Village depict the site and paintings and papers related to the site. A smaller group of seven slides document items in the Ohio Historical Society museum collections and exhibits. Two slides are of Winthrop Chandler paintings (Mary Kidder Gleason and Bethia Pitt Putnam Tupper, H 27064 and Dr. William Gleason, H 27065); two are of a grotesque jug (H 53890); and two depict the human effigy pipe known as the Adena man (A 1200/000010) and a spear point known as the Painesville Spear (A 4193/000001). There are also two slides of archaeology exhibits at the Ohio Historical Society that have been dismantled.
