SCOPE AND CONTENTS OF THE COLLECTION
The collection is comprised of 253, 35mm slides in cardboard and plastic mounts taken by Donald MacBain to document county courthouses in Ohio. The slides are primarily exterior views of the courthouses with very few interior views. All counties are not represented. Courthouses in Ashland, Lucas, Montgomery and Wyandot counties are not found in the collection. A few slides depict local landmarks such as the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Auglaize County, Ohio; a strip mine in Caldwell, Noble County, Ohio; and Charleston Falls in Miami County, Ohio. Thirteen slides are unidentified.
ORGANIZATION OF THE COLLECTION
Slides are organized in alphabetical order by the name of the county in which the courthouse pictured is located. Slides of unidentified buildings are filed last.
