Goes Over The Top
That Columbus Jewish comi.iunity does appreciate the splendid leadership of the late Edwin J. Schanfarber was best indicated with the announcement this week by Robert W. Schiff, General Campaign Chairman, that the United Jewish l^und had gone -well over the top.
Nothing, in our opinion, gave "Ed" greater satisfac¬ tion than the successful conclusion of this once-a-year fund raising activity, and this year's effort in particular. If Ed Schanfarber could speak, he would say that he was heart¬ ened b.v the realization that our people are aroused to their duty; that this realization binds us together and gives con¬ vincing promise of ultimate victory for righteousness thru- out the world.
Mr, Schiff took Ihe opportun¬ ity to congratulate and thank the leaders, workers and contribu¬ tors of the magnificent achieve¬ ment of this year. The loyalty and conscientious efforts of the Men's, Women's anfi ,lunlor Dl- vi,sion organizations had in a large measure contributed to the success of the 1041 drive, he said.
Mr. Schlff paid special tribute to I. W. Garek, vice-president und chairman of the Campaign Organizalion Commitlee, for his efficiency, determination and tenacity of purpose.
