Absentee balloting has been provided tor the el/eetion of B'nai B'rith officer^ ot Zion Lodge, No. 62, for this ydjir tiy action of the elections coinmit- tee approved last week.
This provision was made to accomodate any member who will lie out of town and not able to atttend the meeting on December 25 at the Bi-oud St. Temple.

The Columbus Section, Na¬ tional Council ot Jewish Worn- en has a new and most gratify¬ ing project, that of sending shoes to the children of war lorn Europe. "It is our hope that thru this project, which is a part of our Service to Foreign Born, we can supply footwear for many barefoot youngsters, this winter." Mrs, E. J. Gordon, chairman ot Service to Foreign Born, declared this week. Thir- tyfive pairs of shoes and twen¬ ty pairs of goloshes are now on their way from this section at the present time, but this is a mere beginning, ahe said.

Local Song Writer Wins Recognition
"My Johnny's Coming Home" song written by Henry Judis, 1849 Ardenrun W?iy, will be played and sung on the "Song¬ writers On Parade" program, Monday eveninig, Dec, lOlh, 10,30, over station W, W, R. L. (1800 Kilocycles) in New York. Mr. Judis has composed many songs before, as a hobby, but this is the first time his song has been accepted for preview in Tin Pan Alley.
"Songwriters On Parade", is a program designed to Jielp amateur songwrilers get a start.
On Wednesday of last week Mr Judis was informed by Russ Morgan, featured artist at the local R. K 0. Palace theater, that his song, "Hip 0 Lee-Li Lo" ' was chosen out of a list of some 300 in a local contest of spngwrlllng. Mr. Judis wa"s interviewed by Mr. Morgan the same day al 2 o^clock over WGOL ancj latef at three 9'iilock, when this num¬ ber was played over that sta¬ tion.
