There will be no Roosevelt to stop Peroh when he ap¬ proves of an intensive anti-Se¬ mitic drive In the Argentine.. Observers who have just re¬ turned from Buenos Aires are extremely worried,. .They re¬ port that a number of anti-Se¬ mitic groups are preparing anti- .lewish demonstrations of which the bombing of the chief syna¬ gogue of Buenos Aires was the first item. ..The tragic aspect of this renewal of anti-Jewish activities Is to be found -in the lethargic attitude of Argentine labor, which is being sold the idea that Jewish businessmen are their greatest enemies.... The trouble, of course, is that there are a few unethical JewLsh businessmen who with their sharp practices endanger the entire Jewish community... During Roosevelt's presidehcy the Argentine Government was well aware that the President of the United States was watch¬ ing the Jewish i^ltuatlon closely and viewing anti-Jewish exces¬ ses as manifestations of Fascism. The B'nai B'rith family basket picnic at ..Camp Yo-Hio Sunday will be one of the outstanding summer outings siiice World War II, according to Harry S. Goldstein, president of Zion Lodge, No. 6'2. In addition to the featuretj All-Star baseball game, a variety of contests and entertainment has been ar¬ ranged  by  the committee.
Under the direction of M. H. Schwartz, Broad St. Temple ac¬ tivities director, there will be races and novelty events to en¬ tertain everyone in addition to the contests starting at 2 p. m.
The All-star team of the .Sun- da,V Morning League will play Lee Yas-senoff's fir.st round champion Champos in an e.'thi- bition game starting at -I p. m., under the direction of Louis Berliner. A real thriller is as¬ sured for all fans, young and old.

Agency Meets As Crisis Is Feared
Tomorrow (Sunday at 2 p. m., at the Schonthal Center, .terry Grodin, Director, will begin se¬ lecting the cast and chorus for the new Show "Awake and_^ Swing", to be given by the' B'nai B'rith Women early this fail, as the culmination of its annual fund raising project. Be¬ cause of the B'nal B'rlth picnic that <ifternobn and evening, re¬ hearsal win be brief, but im¬ portant, as there will be a com¬ plete run-through, of the show, and tentative try-outs for com¬ edy, dancing and singing leads.
Anyone interested in being in the new show, which promises to be even bigger and better than last year's smash hit "Pack Up Your "Trebles", is urged to come to Schonthaf tomorrow and sign up. Regular rehearsals will start the following Wednesday night, August 13, at 8 p. m., also at Schonthal. .lERUSALE.M (WNS)—.The Jewish Agency executive met here over the week-end to con¬ sider the tense political situa¬ tion resulting from last week's activities of the Jewish dissi¬ dent elements in Palestine and to map plans how best to com¬ bat those elements within th<» Yishuv.
Tlie executive met following a joint meeting with the Jewish National Council, at which the deteriorating situation was thor¬ oughly di.scussed. The meeting was attended by several out¬ standing leaders in the Jewish community, by the mayors of Tel Aviv and Nathanya, repre¬ sentatives of local and munici¬ pal councils, spokesmen for the Histadruth and the (Thief Rab¬ binate, and by representatives of other groups.
Following the Agency execu¬ tive meeting, one of its spokes¬ men disclosed that full dress investigation of the pogrom in Tel Aviv is to be demanded. He said no improvement in the situation could be expected as long as Britain persisted in its policy of turning away Jewish refugee immigrants and of keep¬ ing the Holy Land under a vir¬ tual state of martial law. He referred to the Yishuv and the British forces In Palestine as "nolhlng but tools and victims" In "a war between Bevln and Belgn", the reputed commander of the Irgun forces. -Meanwhile spokesmen for Ir¬ gun Zvai Leuml had made it known that "our hanging ac¬ count with the British" has not yet been settled and that more British sdldiera "are schedulesj^ for the gallows." At the same time the Haganah radio de¬ nounced the Irgunists, declai-ing that organization was "not a movement for freedoiy'jmt a band guarding thelr.preStlge by staining the Jewislipeople." At the same time Haganah charged British troops with resoonslbfl
manded that "tlie authorities find and punish the rioters." The warning said that the Brit¬ ish authorities "know that the murder of the sergeants was carried out by a band of dissi¬ dents who have been cast out from the organized Jevylsh com¬ munity.'

An alarming re¬ port was received here from France that the Exodus passen- gers are to be shipped to a Brit¬ l.sh ¦ colony. It has al.so been reported .that British and French authorities are contemplating offering the Exodus refugees priorities on visas to Palestine if they consent to leave the British detention ships on which they are now being held in a French port.
