BINGO PARTY SET POR 8UNJ)AY EVENING The work of Hadassah in general is well known, but the Business and Professional Wom¬ en in Hadassah have devoted their energies to rescuing the 40,000 chHdren who are atUl in devasted Europe. These orph¬ ans, ranging in age from 5 to Ifl years are now Tn ill-supplied orphanges and underprivileged foster homes awaiting word that Youth Aliyah funds have been raised to bring them to Palestine. Because it costs $350 to feed and cloth one child for one year the need for funds is most urgent. In order to raise their portion of the money need¬ ed, thfe local chapter is holding its Bingo Party and Drawing this Sunday evening, March 18, at the Broad St, Temple, at 7 o'clock. During the evening Miss Stel¬ la Bermdn, president, wiU offer greetings, and Miss Marian Gil¬ bert, -will tell something of the work of the B. and P, Hadassah. Delightful gift bars and ap¬ petizing lunch bars are being ar'raiiged and an interesting Eoster display will decorate the aU. M, Born and educated in New York City, Mrs. Gamoran, wife of Dr. Emanuel Gamoran, Edu¬ cational Director of the Union of American Hebrew Congrega-. tions, is a graduate of the Sem¬ inary School of Jewish Studies, of the Jewish Theological Sem inary. She is a Past President Cincinnati Chapter of Hadassah Past President, Federation of Jewish Women's Organizations of Cincinnati; and Is currently a membei' of the Jewish Com¬ munity Council, the Red Cross and Community Chest Speakers Bureaus artd Secretary of the Serve-A-Camp Committee of th.-it city. Among Mrs. Gamoran's con¬ tributions to Jewish Education¬ al Literature are "Tlie Voice Ot The Prophets", "With Singer And sage", "HiUel's Happy Hol¬ idays" and 'iDays and Ways", the later two being currently used as texts at the Broad St. Temple Sunday School,-In addi¬ tion, Mrs, Gamoran has author¬ ed numerous articles, stories, plays and poems for Jewish and non-Jewish magazines. The Gamorans and their three child¬ ren reside in Cincinnati. The opening prayer of the Sisterhood Sabbath Service will be given by Mrs. AI Esterkin, with Mrs. T, C. Polster leading the Responsive Readings. Mrs. Nathan Zelizer Is to introduce the speaker and Mrs. • Sam Lop¬ per will deliver the Closing prayer. An Oneg Shabbat, und¬ er the co-chairmanship of Mrs. E. F. Levinson and Mrs. Ruben Abramson, will <ollow the ser-. vices. National, regional and local Zionist leaders virill participate actively in the forthcoming twenty-first annual Regional Conference of the Central States Region of Hadaasah to be held at the Deshler-WalliCk Hotel, on March 22-25.
