Summer and Klemperer Head New and Old Jewish Centers
Eiect Trustees, Officers, Adopt Constitution I And Appoint Several Major Committees
Additional progress toward tde new Jewish Center has been made with the selection ot trustees, election of officers, adoption of a constitution and the appointment of several major committees.
Samuel N. Summer, general chairman of the Campaign Co'mmittee, which so successfully raised the funds needed for the new structure, was elected president of the Jewish Center at a recent meeting of the Board of Trustees.
Dr. E, J. Gordon was named honorary president; Al- beri Schiff, I. W. Garek and Abe A. Wolman, vice presi¬ dents; William Wasserstrom, secretary, and Jack S. Res¬ ler, treasurer.
The following committees were appointed by Mr. Summer:

Rhodes is out of the city, Mrs. Rhodes will be present, 'with a representa¬ tive of the Mayoi".

Mr. Woldman is the Chief of the Ohio State Bureau of Unemployment Com¬ pensation and a Past Preslderit of the B'nai B'rllh District Grand Lodge, while Mrs. Wold- man served as President of the Women's Grand' Lodge of. 8. at his home in Cincinnati. Funeral services were held Sun¬ day morning at the Rockdale Temple, Cincinnati, of which Mr. Rosenberg was a past presi¬ dent.
SIxty-th e years of age, Mr. Rosenberg had been president of the Union of American He¬ brew Congregations since April 4, 1943, when he was sleeted at thte post-convention Executive 'Board meeting of the Union held In New York. He had pre- ¦viously served as chairman of the Board from April 30, 1941.

Eisendrath, of Cincinnati, from .director to president and the election of Jacob AarpnsOn, of New York, as' chairman of the Executive Board of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations were vo¬ ted at the semi-annual Meet¬ ing of the Boa:'d held here..Dr, Eisendrath has been director of the Union of American He¬ brew Congregations for -over three years, an organization which is comprised of 340 Re¬ form Jewish congregations throughout the country. Mr. Ai'onsoil, who is a vice-president of the New York Central Rail¬ road and has been a member of the Board for over five years, was elected to a newly created post.

A   meeting   which ' will   long be remembered by the men and women    who    constitute    the , Schoiithai   Board   was  the  one held on Thursday evening, Dec. ' 5, at the Fort Hayes Holjeil. With DI-. E J. Gordon,' Uie genial host of   the   occasion,   the   meeting, was highlighted by  a touching review ot "The Center, Yester¬ day and Today" by. Mrs.  E. J. 'Gordon,  and  a  presentaton  by Dgvid Goldsmith on "The Cen¬ ter Today and Tomorrow". Re¬ ports    were    also    given    by Joseph  Basch,  Treasurer,   Rose Sugarman,   Secretary   and   Dr' Harry    Topolosky,   "headli^g    a special fact finding committee.
