Oor work Afore Tban Half Pledged It was pointed out that more than half of the Jewish Center fund has been pledged In ad¬ vance ¦ of the general canvass, but that success of the enter- I3rlse.^ltH--remains to be attaln- II Is hoped that more than 1,000 pledges will be obtalnetl before the close of the drive In mid-February. At the "kick-off" dinner two weeks ago, it was revealed that trustees of special funds have arranged to supply $100,000 of the Center's cost If the cam¬ paign can obtain pledges for the remaining $.'?25,000. Gifts an¬ nounced at the initial meeting indicated enthusiastic support for the enterprise and the total of these larger pledges, when completed, is expected to move the drive a long way towfird Its goal.
