NEW YORK (WNS)—A reso¬ lution expressing confidence in the ipadershlp of Dr. Ab'ba Hil¬ lel Silver, ZOA president, was adopted here this week by the national executive pf the Zion¬ ist Organization of America. The meeting, an all night closed session at which the gen¬ eral Zionist situation was thor¬ oughly discussed, approved a resolution rejecting the "impu¬ tation conveyed, in the tenden- tlou.s and harmful reports that Dr. 'Silver and the masses of American Zionists whom he leads represent an 'extremist' position in contrast with the allegedly 'moderate' position of the Jewish Agency executive." The resolution also expressed regret over '^the equally unwar¬ ranted sXiggestion that he or we are motivated by anti-British sentiment." At the same lime the ZOA ex¬ ecutive gave approval to a res¬ olution warning Britain against permitting the former Mufti of Jerusalem to participate in the forthcoming London round-tab- ble talks on Palestine. The reso¬ lution staled the ZOA was "pro¬ foundly shocked at the pj-ess report's that the British Govern¬ ment is agreeing to permit the participation in the projected Conference on Palestine of Had] Amin el Husseinl, the ex-Muftl of Jerusalem, the Nazi agent andv.co-ihstlgator. of ..the mass- iwrtep'oJ'Mooiooo'3^;'!;^ ¦;":'' ¦ "Wfc;,'teftisie:' to 6elie-ve,"r"the re5()liition stited "that.any civ¬ ilized government ¦Wfoiild itbop to confer with this war criminal about either Palestine "or any other subject, and we regard as inconcei-vable that he'should be gj^jited a voice in the fate of the Jewish people and the futulie of the Jewish National Home."
