B'nai B'rith Association of Ohio to Convene Here Nov. 6-7
The Ohio B'nal B'rith Associa¬ tion will hold its annual, meet¬ ing the week-end of Nov. 6-7, at the Deshler Hotel, it Was an¬ nounced this week by Sidney L. Katz, 1st v. pres. of the State Association.
The Saturday nlghl program will be a public reception for the delegates from the many Lodges in the State, tijndered hy the Zlon Lodge and the Women's
Chapter.
On Sunday morning the regu¬ lar business sessions will take place, and at the luncheon meet¬ ing the State Association will be honored with an address by Prank Goldman, Prealdent of the Supreme Lodge of B'nal B'rith.
The sessions of the State Asso¬ ciation are to be open to the entire Jewish community, and the Itincheon meeting will also
be open to those \Vho may wish to atiend.
The District No. 2 officers and members bf the General Com¬ mittee will hold a meeting also the same week-end, at the Desh¬ ler. Benjamin Schwartz, Dis¬ trict President, will preside, and several members of the General Committee are .scheduled to ad¬ dress the regular se,ssions of the Ohio A.s.sociation.

Local Zionist District Board Sets Goal for Membership of 1000
A steady flow of dues has been coming into the office of the Treasurer of the Columbus Zionist District, according to the encouraging report made by President Harry Schwai'tz, at the first meeting of the Board, held last Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Yenkin,
At this meeting, the Board set a goal of. 1.000 .members, for im¬ mediate re-enrollment through \oluntary payrtient of dues. The spontaneous response of 'Colum¬ hus Zionists indicates their de¬ sire lo do their part in Israel's present struggle against the Arabs, and to gain admission to the family of nations. Israel's Declaration of Independence was not a Signal for the dissolution of the Zionist Organization, but a challenge to strengthen that movement.
