Ann Liepah Principal Speaker for Pioneer Women
Mrs. Joseph Weiner and Mrs. Irving Salen, chairmen of the local groups of Pioneer Women's Organization, announce Miss Ann Liepah, executive secretary pf the Pioneer Women, who will be the principal speaker at the annual donor dinner Sunday evening at Broad St. Temple, 6 o'clock.
Miss Liepah, who recently re¬ turned from Israel, will di.scuss the various projects of the Pio¬ neer Women. A native of De¬ troit, she served as Joint IMstri- butlon Committee Supervisor in Europe for more than two years. Ur. Knox is one of the best known Yiddish authors In the U. S., and has lectured widely before Jewish and campus groups all over America. He is the author of various books on Jewish literature and philosophy and Is well knowii for his recent articles and commentary. Dr. Knox is now engaged in writing a book In which he will interpret the specific, aspects of the Jew¬ ish background of humor. Many phases of his recent studies will be reflected In Sunday night's lecture on Sholom Aleichem.
