HERBERT LINICK NEW PRESIDENT OF LOCAL ZIONIST ORGANIZATION
At a recenl meeting of the Columbus' Zionist blstrlct. Mr. Herbert Linick, 060 Sunbury Rd., was chosen president Of Ihe organizallon, succeeding Daniel Harrison. Other officers include the following:

Four life members and 40 annual members have heen added lo t'he "'aiumnl roll" of Brandeis Unlversily by the Columhus Chap¬ ter of the National Women's Commiltee of Brandeis.
It was Mr. George Alperl. president of the board of trustees of the University, who said: "Wherea.s in most universities the alumni are children of the fostering mother, the alma mater, at Brandeis the relationship is reversed.
"Since the School came inlo being under the spon.sorship of .fewlsh citizens of America, the university has become the child and the people Ils fostering par¬ ents. Its establishment is one furltier step by the Jewish peo¬ ple wilh a view loward a.ssum- ing greater roles in the expan¬ sion of American education."

That's the date set lo raise 200 pints pf blood to insure biood for every Jewl.sh person in Franklin Counly, for any emer¬ gency that may arise. The Jew¬ ish Community Blood Donor Council, in its second year of op¬ eration, is organizing the drive.
On this day. the American Red Cross Bloodmobiie will be stat¬ ioned at the Jewish Community Center, 1126 College Ave. from 2 to 8 p. m. All the equipment necessary lo collect blood will be set up In the Cenier.

David Cheses, of the City Win¬ dow Cleaning Co., <132 E. Long St., was elected Regional Chair¬ man of the CentnfB" Buckeye Council for volunteer services of the American Red Cross at a recent meeting.
Mrs. Harold Kay was selected to serve as his secretary. The Council represents 13 counties.
Everything possil>le will be done to make it easy for you to come down to the .Center and donate biood. A motor corps will be available to cali for you and bring you back lo your home or work. An all-day nursery will be provided so that mothers may bring their children and leave them while they are making their donations.
At an enthusiastic njeetlng held by the Jewish Community Blood Donor Council, plans were organized and committees set up to take oai-e of the multitude of
details that are necessarily In- olved. The Council is .made up of representatives of all Jewish organizations, and each group ill be called on for it's share of donations.
Mrs. Jerome Gross, who was •elected General Chairman, was lauded for doing such an dut- standing job during the past year. Mr. Richard Grundstein was elected Chairman of the Men's Division and Mrs. Joseph Schecter of the Women's Divi¬ sion.
