As finishing touches are being put on the new Jewish Center, with additional equipment being installed each day, organizations of all types are already using the building as a meeting place. Although the Center ha.s not been opened formally, many groups are scheduling meetings, parties and athletic contests, and space is being scheduled for reg¬ ular weekly iind monthly gather¬ ings.
"The Center Is buzzing with activity, even Ihough the mem¬ bership year'does not slart until Nov. 1," Chairman Frank says in commenting on the advantages of becoming a Center member. "The attractive club rooms, spacious parly rooms and un- liandleled athletic facilities are . attracting many groups."
Among the youth groups which have gathered in llic new Cen¬ ter are Junior ,Iewlsh Com¬ munity Council, Junior Hadas¬ sah, A.Z.A., B'nai B'rith Cirls, B'nai H'rith Voung Women, five Young .ludea Groups, Council¬ ettes, iind three fraternities and .sororities, including Pi Alpha I.amba, Kappti Tau 7,eta and Pi Beta Lambda.
Gallery Players, the Center adult drama club, has rehearsals in progress for its first major production, "Petticoat Fever." .Also using liic stage and rehear¬ sal rooms arc drama work-shop, playreadlng and t e c h n I c a 1 j <li'aina groups. [
