[Paid-up Luncheon; For Brandeis
For the annual January meeting of the Columbus Chapter of the National Women's Cbmhiittee of Brandeis University, a paid-up membership luncheon will be held Tuesday, Jan. IB, 12:30 p. m., at the Jewish Center.
Mrs. Harry Kollus and Mrs. Mar¬ tin Godofsky, co-chalrmQii with their committee of Mesdames Jos¬ eph Schecter, Abe Yenklri, Milton Lecman, Raymond Nateman, Wil¬ liam Callif and Joseph Minkin, are Arranging the luncheon.
Mrs. Alfred J. Kobacker, presi¬ dent, announces that Mrs. E. J. Gordon will arrange the program. Mrs. M. J. Papurt is chairman of the hostesses and Mrs. Aaron Horo¬ witz will serve as chairman of the t decorations   committee.
The .Women's Committee which supports the Library at Brandeis University holds only two meetings a year. All of its money Is raised only from dues, $0. annually and $100. for Life Memberships. The Committee does not have any fund- raising projects.
The National Women's Commit¬ tee has given the University over $300,000 In three years. It has built the library frozh a few hundred ob-. solcte books to over 66,000 volumes. (continued on pnfo S>

Ed Schlezinger Re-«1ected President of the Center
In recognition of a,year of re¬ markable progress, Edward S. Sch¬ lezinger was again elected presi¬ dent at the annual meeting of the Jewish Center, held Dec. 20,. Other officers elected were: Charles Y. Lazafus, A. B. Welnteld and A, L Yenkln, vice-presidents; David Goldsmith, sec'y, and Arthur Gold¬ berg, treas. '•
A plaque for outstanding achieve¬ ment and service to the community was presented to Mr. I. W. Garek, past-president of the Center, 1049- 50. Mr. Gatek, In responding to the tribute, pointed out that the Cen¬ ter was a re^il monument to com¬ munity effoft and that all Board members could be extremely proud that its level ot use had exceeded all expectations.

Soi^c of the highlights of the reports; 2,618 Individuals are now members of the Jewish Center; 96 different organizations and groups have met at the Center during the past year; Attendance at Center activities is more than 18,000 per month in a range of activities for persons from 2Vj to 85 years of age.
Many new program activities have been developed or expanded, such as the Institute of Jewish Studies, Golden A^e Club, Day Camp, Scouting, Gallery Players and Pre-School.
