Conscious of that fact Messrs. Harry and Max Silbersteln have become champions of every for¬ ward move that tends to preserve traditional Judaism in our com¬ munity.
They have proved again their devotion to that ideal by buying the social hall in the ncV Beth Jacob Synagogrue, thus helping to set up another citadeJ /or the pres¬ ervation of our precious heritage, our Torah and our traditions. There is a tentative agreement on cato- gorlos and quantities of goods, and the sub-committee la ready to go into the question of a aellvory schedule.
There are two basic categories of goods which have been drawn up: the first consists of goods needed for tho development of in-
Bucharest state that tho fact that Mme. Pauker Is a Jewess la a ma¬ jor factor which led to her dis¬ missal.
A faithful Communist since 1921 and a leading figure In Commun¬ ism in Romania since 19-17, Mmo Pauker's dismissal ia clear example of the purge now going on In Rua¬ sia and her sate'llite countries.
