Spurred by the phenomenal success of the Mlscha El¬ man dinner-concert last Sunday, leaders of the Israel B6nd campaign in Columbus are now planning a gigantic one-day campaign as part of the national BIG day Sunday, Dec. 14, it was announced by Abe A. Wolman, chairman of Colum¬ bus Bonds for Israel.

Mr. Wolman emphasized that BIG day falls during the eight-day Chanuifah festival which will Ihj observed starting Friday evening, Dec. 12, by Jews throughout the world. Chanukah celebrates the successful defense of Jewish free¬ dom by a band of heroes under the leadership of Judah Maccabce more than 2000 years ago.
"By observing BIG day," Mr. Wolman said, "people of Columbus .will have an opportunity to honor the ancient Maccabees whose hero¬ ic deeds we remember at Chanu¬ kah. Our subscriptions to Israel bonds will help Israel's modern Maccabees to build their land."
Mr. Wolman said that BIG day is the most important single com¬ munity-wide effort ever undertak¬ en in behalf of Israel. He announc¬ ed that "a large corps of volun¬ teers will bring Into people's homes the sUrrIng story of Israel's Indus- triial and agricultural development and the vital need for American in¬ vestment through Israel Bonds in Its fight for economic Indopend- enoe."
This procedure will be duplicated throughout the entire U. S., Mr, Wolnlan disclosed. "Our Chanukah observances this year must be a symbol of tho tasks which we share with the people of Israel," Mr. Wol¬ man said. "I am confident that our effort on Dec. 14 will produce BIG results for Israel through a record sale of State of Israel bonds."
"KIDDIES NIGHT"
Annual Kiddies Night by Tlfereth Israel Men's Club will be in the soc¬ ial hail of Broad St, Temple next Wednesday, 7 p. m. to 0:00. It's free to club members, their youngsters, and guests.
The program, which will bo over in time for the kiddies to be In bed early, wiil include movies and a live magician. Refreshments and favors are promised each young¬ ster.
Film Forum Series Starts at Center
"I married a Witch", a delightful fantasy starring Veronica Lake, will be shown In the Adult Lounge of the Jewish Center thl.-) Sunday, 8 p. m., to open the Center's film Porum aeries. The film tells the story of the reincarnation of a girt burned at the stake in the 1700's and the scries of humorous inci¬ dents in her 20th century courtship.
The plan of tho Film Forum series is to show outstanding films in an intimate living room setting. Morrey Fink of Ohio State Uni¬ versity's Visual Aid Laboratory will handle tho showings.
A special bonus film for regular participants will climax the series.

EMERSON BURKHART
Several of Columbus' outstanding artists will be hEu-d at work with pailette, brush and potter's wheel Wednesday, 8 p. m., marking the climax of the 'first annual "Every Member" exhibition of the Colum¬ bus Art League at the Jewiah Center.
Emerson Burkhart will be in the process of painting a portrait; Chester Nicodemus will show the various stages of sculping a bust; Ralph Trivfjla, Center ceramics in¬ structor will be turning a vase on a potter's wheel; Cecely FIdier of the City Art Center will be weaving and old-fashioned hook rug and Laura Ziegler will be creating a ceramics figure.
Over 3,000 persons, including both Center members and non-members, have seen the exhibition which will continue through Nov. 30. With few exceptions, all of the works of the 01 artists represented are for sale, according to Mrs. Clifford Levin, ^{iiresident of the Art League. Price liats are available at the Center desk. Mrs. Isabelle Oobcy is chair¬ man of the sales committee.
Outstanding Show At Joint Affair
Zion Lodge 62, B'nai B'rith, is planning an outstanding show for the forthcoming joint meeting with the Women's ciiaptur, which is an event Qf Dec. 9. Members and friends are cordially Invited to this wonderful evening of entertain¬ ment. The program will be held in the auditorium ot the .Jewish Cen¬ ter, and will get under way at 8:15.
The evening will be highlighted with what promises to be a very entertaining and enjoyable show. One of the Lodge's more note¬ worthy members, Lloyd Graceman, is in charge of both the produc¬ tion and direction of this combined effort.
