Mrs. Wm. Wasserstrom Named
To Executive Committee of
UJA Women's Division
Mrs, William Wftsaerstrom of Columbus has been appointed to serve as a member of tho Executive Committee of the United Jewish Appeal's National Women's Division during the 1983 UJA nationwide campaign. It wns announced thla week by Edward M. M. Warburg, gen- oral chairman of the UJA, and Mrs. Albert Pllavln, chairman of the National Women's Division.
A leader of local and national philanthropic affairs, Mrs. Waaser¬ strom will join with other out¬ standing women from all parts of the country in organizing women a group activities designed to help raise maximum sums toward the $144.524,250 needed this year for Is¬ rael snd nearly 500,000 Jews throughout the world.
Mra. Wasserstrom, who is presi dent of the Columbus Chapter of the National Women's Committee of Brandels University and a mem ber of the board of directors of the United Jewish Fund of Columbus Informed Mr. Warburg that she would accept tho post as a measure of her "deep concern for tho safety and future ot Jews living . behind Iron Curtain countries and to aid the needy and fearful in many Qther places."

Owner of the Robert Weller Co., a real estate firm, and partner, in the insurance company of Archer- Meek-Weilor. Mr. Weller has serv¬ ed a-s. a Community Cheat trustee and budget committee member since  1943.

Having passed,the 1,000 mark in i the number of blood donors, the' Jewish Community Blood Donor Council's next "B" (Blood) Day Is Wednesday at the Jewish Center.
Free snacks, free baby-sitting service and free transportation Is part of the program.
The Red Cross Bloodmobile Unit wlll be stationed at the' Center from 12 noon to 6 p. m. Tho Blood¬ mobile carries all tho necessary equipment and personnel needed to collect blood.
As their contribution to the drive. Ooatreichcr'a, Inc., is making ftvaiiablc new automobiles thai, will provide rides for blood donora. Thoso giving blood will be picked up fit lheir joba or homes and taken to the Center to give blood.

Council Women Plan 'Hoe Down' Party
An early-American .style "hoe- down" Saturday night. March 14. at the Center, will be the second fund-raising project In the history of the Columbus - Section nf the National Council of Jewiah Wom¬ en.
Mrs. Bernard Feitlinger, Council president, announces that Mra. Sidney Putchat la chairman for the affair, which is open to all mem¬ bers of Council and the community. Proceeds wlll go to aupport the Im¬ portant welfare activities which Council aupports.

He is a member of the UJiio Valley Council of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations - Hebrew Union College combined campaign, and Executive Commit¬ tee member of the National Friends of Hillel Foundations.
