Sandstrom served with the 86th Infantry during World War n In Europe and In the PhllUplncs. He later' was stationed at Beau¬ mont Field In El Paso. When fighting broke out in Ja¬ pan (1948), Sandstrom was with the 24th Infantry. He was In Korea up to February of last year, before re¬ turning to the U. S. He commanded the Leaders School at Ft. Mead and recently transferred to Ft. Hayes as an Instructor In the Medical Re¬ serves section. Maj. Sandstrom is from Chadron, Nebr.
