Samuel Shinbach Unanimously is Elected General Chairman
Annual Joint Meeting of BBW, Council, Hadassah Tuesday

Samuel Shinbach hoa accepted unanimous election as General Campaign chairman of the United Jewish Fund, according to an an¬ nouncement made this week by Fred Venicin,-* president.
"The Board of Directors and other leaders ot the United Jewish Fund have called upon Sam Shin¬ bach to accept the post of General Campaign chairman. This Mr. Shinbach has consented to do after receiving pledges to aupport from all those present at the recent meeting at which he was chosen. We consider ourselves particularly fortunate In having Mr. Shinbach take the helm of our organization during the coming year when the necessity of raising funda for al) our beneficiary agencies will bo as great aa ever. Mr. Shinbach has a long history of service to our Columbus community and to- our Jewish organizationB."

BBG's annual "Kiddle Show" Is scheduled at the Center Sunday, 2-4 p. m. Tickets are 25c, obtainable from any member. A "western" and four cartoons will be shown and refreahments will be served.

Invitations will soon be In the mall to members of Rose K. Laz¬ arus Sisterhood, inviting them to the annual Unlongram luncheon Jan. 12, 12:30 p. m., at Temple Is¬ rael.
Elaborate plans are now being mado by Mrs. William Kahn, Uniongram chairman, for festive decorations and gay costumes for the members of her committee who Nvill help that day.

Mr. Irwin la renowned as a journaliat and as a humanitarian. He is very much in demand as a speaker throughout the V. ^. be¬ cause of his first-hand knowledge of the Near East from whence he recently returned. Mr.. Irwin is charming, witty and speaks to his audiences with the same brilliance with which he writes.
Following the tea, the program will open with a prayer to be of¬ fered by Mrs. Sanford Timen, president of Hadasaah. Mrs. Bern¬ ard Peitlingor, president of Coun¬ cil, will be the presiding officer, and the apeaker wIU be Introduced by Mrs. Melvin Furman, president of B'nai B'rith Women.
The board of the Columbus Chapter of Senior Hadassah has been singularly choHen by tho Central StateH Region of Ha¬ dassah to he in charge of a, Sec¬ tional Conference. Mrs. Leon Dembo of Cleveland and a regional vice-president has announced the topics for discus¬ sion on that day. They Include, "Latest Developmenta in Israel, Medical Center, Hadasaah Medical Organization, the Youth Servicea and Vocational Education, Youth Aliyah and the Political Situation in Israel."

Jan. 14 has been set aside as Community Service Recognition Night, according to an announce¬ ment made by Abe Yenkin, presi¬ dent ot the Jewlah Community Council. A dinner will be held* at 6:15 p. m. at the Jewish Center, to which the entire Jewish com¬ munity Is invited. The organiza¬ tions receiving their basic support from the United Jewish Fund and the Community Chest will report to the community on their actlvi¬ tiea during the paat year.
These organizations with their presidents are:

Voliner Society's annual banquet Is thia Sunday, 6:30 p. m.. at Ahavaa Sholom Synagogue, in the aocial hall.
