The District will present to the members, od well as the communi¬ ty in general, a aympoalum of three different views of Israel, by three outstanding membersof thc Columbus Jewish community who visited Israel last summer.
Dr. Theodore Beckman will speak on "Israel aa an Economist Sees It." With hia experience aa professor of oconom ica at Oh lo State University and his long ex¬ perience OS a business consultant, it is expected that he should give his audience a good picture of the economic life of Israel, Its growth. Its absorption of immigrants and its prospects for the future.
Maurice Bernstein, director of the United Jewiah Fund of Colum¬ bus, alao apent several weeks in Israel last summer. He will talk on "larael as a Social Worker Sees it." Mr. Bernstein is highly quali¬ fied to talk about the social prob¬ lems confronting larael such as the Integration of Jews from different backgrounds into the Jewish Com¬ munity and their adaptation to the new surroundings. FRED YENKIN HONORED AT UJF MEETING
Troy A, Felbel, president of tlie United Jewlah Fund, presented a plaque to Fred Yenkin, past president and past campaign chairman, during the Nov. 17 meeting of campaign leaders and the United Jewiah Fund Board of Directors. Mr. Feibol's presentation speech was as fol¬ lows:
"Great men have served the United Jewish Fund aa presldenta of its Board of Directors. I need only recall to you the namea of the late Ed Schanfarbcr, Simon Uazarus and Samuel Summer. Those three leaders established a tradition of service ahd a^rtlvity directed towards maintaining tho dignity and respect of our people, Robert Schlff, Ralph LAzarua and DicU Abel, when they became presidents, continued that tradition. Final plans have been made, by the membership committee of Brandeis University, under the leadership of Mrs. Maurice B. Rus¬ off and Mrs. A. B, Gertner, for a tea and "sneak preview" Friday. Dec. 9, 1 p. m., at the Bexley Art Theatre. Guests will include all women who have joined during the present membership campaign, prospective Life and Annual mem bcrs, workers and captains.

UJF's Spring Drive Netted $526,212.00
Herbert S, Levy. 1955 campaign chairman, and Troy A. Felbel, president of thc United Jewiah Fund announced this week that the final results of the spring drive were $526,212.00. Mr. Levy expressed particular gratitude over the fact that more people than ever before had contributed to make this campaign a success. The total number of donors waa 4011. He expressed his appreciation to all those who had made this possible, particularly William Kahn. chairman of the Special Giftis Division, who was assisted by co-chEiirmen Herbert Schiff, Sam Schlonsky, Jack Sher and Joseph Skilken; Irving Lackritz, chairman of thc General Solicitation Division, aaslated by vice-chairmen Melvin Furman, David Goldsmith, Alvln Kahan and Myer Mellman; Mfa. Mil¬ ton J. Leeman, chairman of the Women's Division, assisted by co-chair¬ men Mra. Ben Kahn and Mrs. Harry Getz; Bernard Yonltin, chairman of the Young Adult Division; and Arnold Zacks, chairman of the Junior Division, and also thc? chairmen of ail the various committees and workers in ail Divlaions. He particularly expressed hia appreciation to Gus Bowman, Jr.. and his associates at Byer & Bowman, to Maurice Chanis, and to the Ohio Jewiah Chronicle for the fine publicity during the campaign.
Herb Irfvy stated that the Wom¬ en's r)iviaion had secured dona¬ tions amounting to $67,474.95, an increase over the amount theae people gave laat year. The Special Gifta Division hod produced a total of $430,546. The men's General So¬ licitation Division, $22,485.89; thc Young Adult Division. $1,583; and the Junior Division including the contribution from Ohio State Uni¬ versity is $4,122.47.
Mr, l.rf?vy concluded: "All these people who made this result pos¬ sible deserve our gratitude and aince/e thanks. I am sure they will pledge their continued devotion to thc work in vvhich "\ve are ail en¬ gaged. Again I want to express to all the workers and all the givers in our uampaign my own heartfelt thanits "

Milton J, Leeman, Women's Division chairman, Mr. Levy, in turn, pre-, sen ted awards to Irving Lackrltz, chairman of the General Solicita¬ tion Division; Bernard Yenkin, chairman of the Young Adult Di¬ vision; and Arnold Zacks, chair¬ man of the Junior Division.
Mrs. Leeman presented awards to Mra William Click for having served aa the founder and first chairman of the Young Matrons' Division, and to Mrs. Myer Mell¬ man, 1955 chairman of that Divis¬ ion.
All persona at the meeting pledg¬ ed their cooperation to BUI Kohn towards making the 1956 campaign a succesa.

The final week of cultural forums for fall quarter at thc B'nal B'rith Hlllel Foundation will headline a panel of international atudenta Sunday, 8 p. m.
Their topic, "How Can We Avoid World War III?" Is a traditional discussion presented at the Foundation In commemoration of^thc anni¬ versary of Pearl Harbor. This year marks the 14th anniversary. The students choaen to apeak represent thc countries of Eithiopia. Scotland and Japan.
