He la a member, of the Allocations Com¬ mittee of the United Jewish Fund of Columbus, and paat campaign chairman of that organization. His varied other activities In¬ clude membership on the Board of Trustees and vice-preaidency of Leo N. Levy Memorial Hospit¬ al. Mr. Bookbinder haa appeared from coast to coast and has been a hilarious "hit" everywhere. One of his biggest acts these days Is performed for various business groups. Bookbinder as¬ sumes the role of an expert in the field of endeavor which he is to address; then proceeds to befuddle the group with startling opinions. Generally he stretches the pose to Its fullest before de¬ nouncing hla listeners for accept¬ ing him so blindly. In private life he haa a suc¬ cessful insurance agency ('Con¬ necticut Mutual Life). He is mar¬ ried and lives in E. Orange, N. J. Norman Folpe is chairman of the stag. Which also will highlight the installation of new Brother¬ hood members. There, will be some Interesting door prizes and cards and gamea will follow the meeting. There is a nominal charge of $3 for the dinner. Herbert'Levy reporta that thia will be the 32nd year since the establishment of the Fund In Co¬ lumbus. Over the years, with tho growth of the community, the! Fund haa grown in number ot' contributors, participants and< in campaign achievement. It has de¬ veloped into the community's one major and central Instrumentali¬ ty in raising substantial funds for more than 40 cauaea of alt kinds which receive general community acceptancy and support. In the past, Mr. Levy stated, | the meeting was limited essen¬ tially to the campaign leadership,, but this one will be open to any in the community who have par-' ticlpated and contributed to the drive. Those who played major roles in the campaign will be honored. The new officers and board of di¬ rectors of the Fund for 1957-68 will be elected that evening. To highlight the affair, Mrs. Simon Lazarus, first Columbus woman to attend the United Jewish Ap¬ peal Overseas Study Mission, will present her first report to the community. It should prove to be most Interesting and timely. Herbert Levy stated that In ad¬ dition to awards, reports and speeches, there will also be a lighter side to entertain those present. Nemetz, of the philosophy department of Ohio State University: Rabbi David Stavsky, spiritual leader of Beth Jacob Congregation, and Dr. Dov Sarver, ncweat addition to the Columbus Hebrew School staff, will 'foln the faculty of the Institute of Jewish Studies Wed¬ nesday evening, Oct. 23, when the fall term begins. Dr. Nemetz, a member of Ohio State's faculty since 1952, attend¬ ed St. Francis Seminary in Mil¬ waukee and received both his Masters (IMS) and his Doctor of Pb'losophy degrees from the University of Chicago. Before coming to OSU, he' was an in¬ structor for three years at De- Paul University In Chicago. He is the author of several ar¬ ticles and reviews which have ap¬ peared in such scholarly Journals "New Scholasticism" and "The Philoaophlcai Review." During World War II, Prof. Nemetz served three yeara with the Army and saw action with the Artillery in the European Theatre ot Operations. In the past, Mr. Levy stated, | the meeting was limited essen¬ tially to the campaign leadership,, but this one will be open to any in the community who have par-' ticlpated and contributed to the drive.
Those who played major roles in the campaign will be honored. The new officers and board of di¬ rectors of the Fund for 1957-68 will be elected that evening. To highlight the affair, Mrs. Simon Lazarus, first Columbus woman to attend the United Jewish Ap¬ peal Overseas Study Mission, will present her first report to the community. It should prove to be most Interesting and timely.

Prof. Anthony A. Nemetz, of the philosophy department of Ohio State University: Rabbi David Stavsky, spiritual leader of Beth Jacob Congregation, and Dr. Dov Sarver, ncweat addition to the Columbus Hebrew School staff, will 'foln the faculty of the Institute of Jewish Studies Wed¬ nesday evening, Oct. 23, when the fall term begins.
Dr. Nemetz, a member of Ohio State's faculty since 1952, attend¬ ed St. Francis Seminary in Mil¬ waukee and received both his Masters (IMS) and his Doctor of Pb'losophy degrees from the University of Chicago. Before coming to OSU, he' was an in¬ structor for three years at De- Paul University In Chicago.
He is the author of several ar¬ ticles and reviews which have ap¬ peared in such scholarly Journals
"New Scholasticism" and "The Philoaophlcai Review."
During World War II, Prof. Nemetz served three yeara with the Army and saw action with the Artillery in the European Theatre ot Operations. Ho holds the Bronze Star,
