Members of the Chen groap, which met for tea two-wecfts ago at Mrs. Blank's hoine for pre liminary briefing, include women who have earned Chen charms, a badge ot~aervice avi^arded to each lady who sells, buys or col¬ lects a unit of $2,500 worth of Israel Bonds. Lodge membera will be aclling "50-50" tickets during October, with half the money collected to be used by the Lodge In Us chari¬ ty work and the other half to be awarded aa prize money. Fund-ralaing co-chairman Mdr- tin Gold and I^ormari Fagtn eati- mate that holdera'—of winning ticketa will scoop ilp api^s^lmdte ly $1,500 in c^sh^rizes. The drjvwmg is slated for Oct. 26, to climax the Lodge's Mas¬ querade Ball. Two mah jong aets will be a- warded as door prizes. Admit¬ tance to the bail, to be held at the Jewish Center, will be $1.25 per person, and everyone must be in costume. In addition to the drawing and door prizes, committee chairmen alao announced that champagne prizes will be awarded in a coa- tume Judging conteat. One bottle of champagne will go to the best matched couple, another bottle to the most ori¬ ginally dreased man, a third bot¬ tle to the moat originally dreaaed woman, and a fourth bottle to the person wearing the worst cos¬ tume. , ADULT SOCIAL DANCE CLASS OPENS SUNDAY
The new term of the Adult Soc¬ ial Dance Class at the Jewish Center starts Sunday, 8:30 p. m., under direction of Dorothy Bloom and James Naulty. It's the first of eight sessions, with the fees being $15 per couple for Center members, $22.50 per couple for non-members.
