After months ot planning and many hours of preparation, 607 lumViis Chapters of Hadassah's 29th annual donor dinner Is at handl The traditional affair Is Sunday, S p. m., at tho Jewish Center.
Mrs. Samuel Subow, Mra. Nor¬ man Melzlish and Mrs. Aaron Canowltz, oo-chalrmen, have done a monumental job In ' obtaining the special guests to bo prcsontod on the program.
Miss Sulle Harahd of Chicago will perform In a musical and dramatic- version, of the Broad¬ way success "Fanny."

Isaac Daniel Unno, Consul, Consulate General of Israel In Chicago, was born In Germany In 1922. Ho Is the son of Dr. W Unna, who was president of the Zionist Academic Union In Ham¬
burg. Mr. Unna settled with his family In Israel, th6n Palestine, in 1986 aiid received his education in Haifa. He entered the service of the British Mandatory Govern¬
ment in Palestine ahd was ap¬ pointed secretary to the Haifa District Office In 19«1.
In 1942, Mr- Unna enlisted In the ranks of the British Army and served with a Palestinian

MRS. EDELSTEIN
Jewish Engineering Co. of the Eighth Army throughout the Western Desert pampalgn. He was later sent to England for of¬ ficer training and graduated from the Military Academy in that country Ih 19M. Ho subse¬ quently served at British Army Headquarters In Austria and Italy and In 1947 was discharged with the rank of First Lieuten¬ ant.
Mr. Unna returned to his prev¬ ious post with the Mandatory District Officer In Haifa, where he remained until the end of the British MandajB^'ln May, 1948. During the ^roel War of Inde¬ pendence lie served as Infantry officer with tho Israel Defense Army and saw action In Galilee. From 1949 to 1962 he served as a Regular Army offlcar In the Is¬ rael Defense Army with the rank of Captain.
Early in 1953, Mr. Unna was transferred to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Govern¬ ment of Israel and In September, 1953, was appointed Vice-Consui to the Consulate General of Israel

Mizrachi Speaker
When the Columbus Chapter of Mizrachi Women holds Its annual donor dinner Sunday, N'ov. 10, at the Agudas Achlm Synagogue, the guest speaker will be Mrs. S. Deborah Ebln, past national president of the Mizrachi Wom¬ en's Organization of America, and a prominent leader in Zionist and other Jewish communal activities aince early youth.
Mrs. EblnHs the wife of the late Rabbi Nachman H. Ebln of New York, and daughter of the late Rabbi Aaron M. Ashinsky, both founders and leaders of the Miz¬ rachl (religtoua-Zlonlst) move¬ ment.
Mrs. Ebln has served in many leadership capacities, but she is moat strongly identified for her leading role in tbe absorption and rehabilitation of newcomers to Israel from countries through¬ out tho world.
As national chairman of Miz¬ rachi Women's child-restoration and Youth Allyah programs for many years, she has been re¬ sponsible to a large degree for guiding and developing the ex¬ tensive network of children's vil¬ lages, homes and centers in' the Holy Land, established and main¬ tained by Mizrachi Women of tho U.S. and Canada.
According to Mrs. Samuel Ru¬ benstein, president of the Colum¬ bus .Chapter, Mizrachl Women, a large number of donors is expect¬ ed at the annual donor function at 6 p. m. Sunday, Nov. 10.
A dinner has been planned, and the program of the evening will Include not only the talk by Mrs. Bbin, but greetings and remarks by local religious and civic lead¬ ers. The dinner meeting Is open to the public, and tickets, at $3 each, can be obtained from any member of tho organization, or at the organization, or at Agudas Achlm Synagogue Sunday night, Nov. 10.
PIONEER PARTY IS TUESDAY EVENING
Pioneer Women, Chapter 2, will be host at its second annual card party Tuesday, 8 p. m., in the Jewish Center auditorium. Friends will gather to play card ^ames, Mah Jong and Scrabble.

When re¬ cently the immigrants from North African and Iron Curtain countries started to pour Into Is¬ rael, our sisters In the Moetzet Hapoalot (W o r k I n g Women's Council), with the wholehearted support of the MH subsidiary or¬ ganization, Irgun Imahot Ovdot (Working Mother's Association), stepped Into action at once.
Local volunteer committees throughout Israel were organized to assist the experts in readjust¬ ing the newcomers to life in a young, struggling democracy.
Mrs. Otto Neubauer and Mrs. Sam Gurevltz, co-chairmen of the fund-raising event, extend a wel¬ come to all memhers of Chapter I, Sabra and friends of Pioneer Women.

A book review by Mrs. B. W. Abramson will be program fare at Tifereth Israel Sisterhood's November meeting Monday in the Temple social hall, 12:30 p. m. Mrs. Abramson. who has present¬ ed book reviews for several Co¬ lumbus organizations, will review the anthology "Feast of Levlath- ian," edited by Leo Schwarz.
The D'var Torah will be recited by Mra. David Brown.

Speaker for JWV's
Principal speaker for the an nual Veterans Day Sabbath by Capitol Post 122, Jewish War Vet erans, next Friday (Nov. 8) will be Joseph Barr, national admin¬ istrator ^or the JWV of America.
The Sabbath service will be at Agudas Achim Synagogue, start¬ ing at 8 p. m.
Mr. Barr Is prominent In work for veterans and In national Jew¬ ish communal projects.
He is a past Commander of JWV and was chairman of the Armed Servlcea Committee of the Jewish Welfare Board.
He Is an executive member of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, of the Corp- mualty Chest in Washington, D. C, and also the USD.
He ts also on the Board of Di¬ rectors of the Hebrew Home for Aged and Jewish Social Service Agency.

GOUNGIL VOLUNTEER TRAINING GOURSE
Members of the Volunteer Training Course of the Council of Jewish Women will be taken on a tour of the Columbus State School at 10 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 0. That same afternoon they will visit the Columbus State Hospital. Luncheon will be served at noon at the State School.
All members of Council art In¬ vited to the tours, whether they have already registered for the course or not. They will meet at the Administration Building of the school, 1601 W. Broad St. at 10 a. m. The tour of the State Hospitai will start at 1 p. m. at the Administration of the Hos¬ pital, 1960 W. Broad St.
Mrs.-Maxwell J. Papurt will be in charge of the tour of the school, with Mrs. Irwin Barkajo as recorder. Mrs. Norbert Kruger and Mrs. Elliot Landsman will act as chairman and recorder, re¬ spectively, for the tour of .the State Hospital.
With many Council members working as regular volunteers at both Institutions, this aesslon of the . Volunteer Training Course has been arranged to acquaint additional workers with the pos- alblUties and needs of these com¬ munity activities.
It is the second In the scries of four weekly training sessions arranged by a Council commit¬ tee under the chairmanship of Mrs. Armand Abel and her co- chairman, Mrs. Robert Blashek.

Holt, a man of gceat stature, and an outstanding personality in hla field, on exciting and thought provoking program has been pro¬ vided for all,
With a background of 36 years In the teaching profession. Dr. Holt is well qualified to bear the official title of State Superintend¬ ent of Public Instruction. He has been honored by two honorary degrees from Wittenberg College and Miami University, and was! awarded his A.B. Degree from Wilmington College and bis M. A. Degree from Miami University.
Dr, Holt haa served aa a past president of the Ohio Association of School Administrators, and is a member of the local, state and national Educational Association and the American Association of School Administrators. i To serve as a foil to this hon¬ ored guest will be a vivacious personality. Frances G. Nunmiak- er, ao well known not only for her ready and clever wit, hut also for her background of 30 years in the newspaper and public re¬ lations field.
A former reporter and feature writer, she alao was a personality on radio, appearing weekly for eight years, and she is the author of "The Library Broadcasts," considered a MUST in the library profeaaion. Now serving as pub¬ licist for the Ohio State Ubrary, Frances Nunmaker's reporting days will serye her well when she Interviews Dr. Holt from "ABC to XYZ."
