Schools Open Normally
JERUSALEM, (JTA) — Some 200 schools hi the west baiik area, maintained bytheUnitedNations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, bmcUoned normally on the first day of the school^term, but Government-operated schools ta most of the West Bank Arab centers were^ closed ty a boycott by teachers and pupUs.

President Johnson just named Ernest Goldsteta to be me of bis Special As¬ sistants for legislative and organizational matters. Goldsteta returned ftom Paris, where for the past two years he has been coun¬ sel for Coudert Brothers, an faiternational law firm. He has also been lecturer at the: tastitute of Advanced European Studies at Nice, and at the' Universities of Brussels and Luxumbourg.
As Special Assistant, Goldsteta wiU occupy the post vacated by Robert Kint- ner, who resigned last June.. These duties taclude coor- dinatipn qf agencies imd de¬ partments, and cqiq^j^ider- ation of reports il^s^incUng the President's attention firom those agencies.
HE wIU also assume some of the legal activities at the White House, conducted by Jake Jacobson before he re¬ signed earlier thisyear.
