The-Israel Executive Staff and Mosadot, Mizrachi Women's Organi^ati^ of America,'cabled these words to the. recently held 44th annual convention of Mizrachi Women of America. ' In an effort to fulfill this charge,' Raananayj'oung women's chap^rer of Mizrachi, is making an all-, out attempt this year to sponsor' an outstanding evening for their for¬ thcoming dinner-dance. Raanana's major Jund raising project will be neld on Jan. 24 at Beth Jacob Synagogue, with cocktails being served at 8 p.m. dnd dinner at 8:30. , Guests for the evening will be treated to the musical enjoyment of Marcia Polevoi and Jean Roth, an unusually talented diuq from Cleveland, Ohio. Miss Polevoi is well known for her .vocal int. terpretations of Jewislqi. music. Currently,. Miss Polevoi is soloist for th'e Cleveland Jewish Singing Society and the Mayfieid Temple. Jeail Roth is recognized as an authority of Jewish folk music. She iias lectured on the origins of folk music and has amassed one ,of the' largest collections of Jewish music in Cleveland. Mrs. Roth is choir- director for, severfd temples. She writes and arranges music and is one of the few women to conduct her own orchestra. The Jewish task and ultimate goal of Mizrachi's Youth Aliyah program is for the rescue and aliyah of children from the Diaspora who are threatened by the danger of loss of their Jewish identity and consciousness, by the perils of assimilation 'and spiritual'' annihilation.
