In spite of the inclement weather over 2,00l> people turned out for the big Me¬ morial hall concert of the : Agudath Achini congregation' last Snnday ; eve¬ ning, March 20th, and heartily enjoyed the splendid prograni prcicnted under the direction of Cantor Ansel Freed¬ man.
There is no gainsaying the fact tliat this, was the nio-st successful affair of its kind ever held iu Cohnnbu'?. There were folks present from every section of the city, and from every congrega¬ tion; a number of co-religionists from various towns throughout central Ohio, also were present. Everyone consid¬ ered it a real treat to listen to the singing and pl^^ytiig of the. brilliaut galaxy of artists and feU amply com¬ pensated fur their time and their nioney.
Praised and Complimented
Tho^e who were responsible for the success of the concert have been praised and complimented in most glowing terms. Chief among the loyal band who en¬ gineered the project and brought it to a successful conchi-sion arc: Cantor Aii.sel Freedman, President, Morris M; Lcviaon, Jacob Krakowitz, Louis Lakin, Bert Wfilman. Mrs. Jacob Krakowitz and Mrs, Ida Schaffer. Their tine in¬ terest and keen cnthnsiasni will go down in tlie history of the local Jeuish com¬ munity as a fitting example of what real service uieaus. The proceeds of the affair will be turned over to the Ladies .^uxiliary of the Agudath .Echini congregation to further certain activities iu which this organization U iiitcreited.

Double Treat Was Given Children of Bryden Road Temple Sabbath School
In celebration of'the festival of Purim, the children of the Bryflen Road Temple Sabbath School were given a ijonhlc treat last Sunday,
In the morning, the regular sessions of the Sabhatli School were dispensed with and- the children taken from the Temple where they had assembled to the Majestic Theater, where the Brotherhood had ar¬ ranged for the showing ;of a seven reel religious picture "Esther" obtained from a national producer for the occasion.
The theater was filled with the chil¬ dren of the Bryden Road Temple, their parents, and the chiklren of the other re¬ ligious schools who had been invited by the Brotherhood to sec; this interesting and at the s,imc lime Ikighly educational film.
Iii the afternoon, the Sisterhood enter¬ tained the children with a Purim mask ball ill the Temple vestry room. Prizes were awarded by a committee of judges for the pretlieat and most unique cos¬ tume";.- Jean Mae Kobacher and Bernard ^Fargo^is> won the prizes for the prettiest costumes und Dorothy Sculler and Mon¬ roe Palestrant for the most unique.
Regular school sessions will be resumed this Sunday at 0:55 and parents arc again urged to sec that their children are hot tardy. This Sunday marks the first ses¬ sion of the third and last period of this year's Sabbath School.

Une of the most important steps taken by Ihe Independ. ent Order of B'nai B'rith in re¬ cent years, is the organization nf the Aleph Zadik Aleph, a fraternity ot Jewish boys, as the junior auxiliary ;of the or¬ der. The.aims of the A. Z. A. are three-fold: (1) Attachment of the boys to Judaism; <2) Dis¬ semination of Jewish knowledge atngng the members; (3) Prep¬ aration of the members for fu¬ ture B'nai B'rith service and leadership in Jewish life.
The A. Z. A. held iU second convention at St. Paul July llth to 13th, 1926, Starting two years ago with four chapters In the middlewest. It now com¬ prises twenty-nine chapters, a number of them in the East, 'fhe organization is doing splen^ did work and has been com¬ mended by leaders of Jewry' everywhere.
Mr. B. F. Levinson has been appointed chairman Of the A. Z. A. committee in Columbus and lie is now busily engaged in setting together the charter mcmhers for the local Aleph Zadik Aleph.
