She served as president of the Marion County Pa rent-Teacher Association as president of the Mariott County Fcdera lion of Women's Clubs, and has served as chairman of the department of educa tion at the Ohio State Federation of Women's Clubs for four jearf; She has also been field secretaT} of the Na¬ tional Kindergarten Association and is an active member of the American Asso¬ ciation of University Women She has spoken before women's or¬ ganizations in all parts of Ohio She has also appeared successfully before civic clubs, college clubs, tarmcrs' in¬ stitutes and university gatherings She has appeared before the State Federation of Women's Clubs, the state convention of the Child Conservation League, and the State Farm Bureau. The nicest tribute that can be paid Mrs Head as a speaker is the fact that she has been asked to return to prac fically everi one of the coimnumties which she has visited, and she has gone baek to many of these as many as five or six times She is a clear and enter¬ taining speaker, of unusual magnetism, and her rich, cultural background finds expression m music that fs beautiful and extremel> simple Her talks include in¬ terpretive readings, guen with a fine appreciation of dramatic art. Her marked attainments as a reader add much to the brilliance of her lecture recitals.
