Holocaust Memorial, Miami Beach. Fla.
This life-size cast bronze sculpture, by Kenneth Treister, of a
mother trying to protect her two children from the Holocaust
is at the entrance of the Holocaust Memorial Sculpture
Garden in Miami Beach. Further on, the same figures are
seen in death. On the Jerusalem stone wall behind the
sculpture are Anne Frank's words: "In spite of everything I
still believe people are good at heart."
