YOM HA'ATZMAUT
Community invited to Israel's birthday party
The whole community is invited to the Leo Yassenoff
Jewish Community Center for
Yom Ha'atzmaut: Israel's 46th
Birthday Celebration this Sunday, April 17, from 1-6 p.m.
The "Walk Towards the Future" parade will begin the festivities at Agudas Achim at 1
p.m. ending at 2:15 p.m. at the
JCC with parachuters. A grand
opening cererrjpny will follow
at the JCC at 2:30 p.m., featuring dignitaries, choirs and a
special candle lighting ceremony.
One of the highlights of the
day will be a performance at
4;30 p.m. by the Hora Efro-
chim Jerusalem Dance Troupe.
Tickets for the concert are on
sale now at the JCC. Ticket,
prices, are $3 for adults and $ 1
for children 12 and under.
Following the opening ceremony, the day will feature
children's activities, live per
formances, {Israeli dancing and
Israeli-style food.
