The Next World War
We arc' informed.on all sides that we
must expect another world war and that
liortly. The nations of the w<irld are,
t > to speak, merely rc.'sting u]) now,
_ t:?ilching their breath, and making ready
jA *fo at each other's throats again.
'•^4* wrence Stallings has compiled a
•"ttil .tographie album of the World War,
and be Iia.s titled it, with pro()hctic ini-
plications:"Thc First World War." ;¦-
Ami now comes H. G. Wells in "The
'^hapc of Thing.s to Come" and tells us
that the next World War will come
Til 1!M(>.
A Jew Causes It But for the Jew, the most interesting tiling about Wells' prediction Is—that the next World War will have Jewish rrjol.s.
Wells explains the breaking mit. of the next World War as follows: '
A Pqle of Jewish exlTaetion. who wtar.s a dental plate, gets "something be¬ tween his tf'eth which makes it unpossi- for him to close hisi jaw. He is in i train on the station platform at Dan- jig (itiiiig to a window, be makes such j-rril)le laces while adjusting the plate n tt a \a/i thinks lie is being ridiculed; in ditt-rcation results, the Nazi shoots "lid the war of the corridor is on. Then ill thi other nations pitch in, and pre.slo- —tht. wtirld IS marching.
Our Version Well wars have been occasloiietr for Itss reason th^n that. But personally,. \ihile I agree with Wells, that the pre¬ text of the next.world war may he Jew¬ isli 1 lia\e a theory that it will be caused bi a ¦'lightly different "cli'atiVbf "clreuni- ^linees
it IS mj opinion that a Nazi soldier commg aboard a Danzig train will see a Va/i ofhcer and raise bis hand in Fas¬ cist salute The Jew on the train seeing tbi \a/is band uplifted, will think he wanli to go out of the room, and the lew will point to the place. The Nazi will thereby be terribly insulted and shoot the Polish lew—and the war of the cor¬ ridors will be on.
Wars Breed Wars But -seriously speaking. It may very well bt that the Jew may he the pre¬ text f(jr the next world war.
\nd that such a w'*''' '^ likely seems i(r\ prubablc. In the first place, wars line a tendency of begetting other wars. Our own Mexican War for instance in ihc fuities, bringing us llie western ter-- itories and with that the question of iht ileterimnation of the status of the sluts in the new territory, was largely rtsiumsible tor the Civil War. .
\nfl that the Ia.<it World War has left lUnt' of the roots of trouble is plain m all
It IS my opinion, that it Is delayed
by oiilv one thing,' Germany is at pres-
«il almost completely isolated among
mtiuns of the World. Now in the
'Ndays, the Kaiser used to talk about
_,# und Gott," hut even though he had
1 lire isoiiably. I think, assured himself of
( 1(1 s^ssistance, he also depended upon
nil Inimaii allies. There was Austria,
ilien was Turkey and a couple of minor
linlrie's.
i^tit noMf Germany is alone, and as ift i.'i it remain.s alone there will be I u ir. But Germany may pick np an |iei ite hero and there in the course of next several years. And when It lis, tlic war will be here,
Nazis l*lan Campaign Here . That Gerniany will more and more make this effort to win friendship among some of the nations is already plain. A German bureau of propagauda* we are lolrl by the newspapers, is at work ii England.
In the United States
I do not apprehend that the Nazi prop
ugandists will have much siicu'ess in the
United .States. Not that I do not realize
