Action was taken authorizing a committee, appointed for that purpose, to communicate its sentiments to the Department of State and to our various, reprcsentntivcs in Congreae and the United States Senate.

Big Attendance Assured at
Broad St. Temple Bridge
Pairty Sunday Evening
All plans have been completed for the most outstanding hridgc party of tiic social calendar of the Senior Sisterhood of the East Broad Street Temple. Over one thousand invitations and tickets have bceir mailed and all indications point to an attendance of over one hundred tables. The bridge party is the last one of the present social season and all promi¬ nent Jcwisii socialites are expected to be present. The Annual Year Book edited by the Sisterhood under the Chairman¬ ship of Mrs. Manrice Siegel, will be dis¬ tributed to all menibers at this party. Although a vast crowd is assured, plenty of tables are still available, and the com¬ mittee in charge urges all contemplating attendance to , make arrangements and reservations at once to attend this unusu¬ ally enjoyable and attractive party.
Fifty expensive, practical prizes have been procured for the occasion including a $5.00 per-raanent wave, beautiful radio lamp, electric grill, baskets of groceries, fruit, jewelry, etc., to he given away during the evening. Dainty, tasty re¬ freshments will be served. You cannot afford to niiss this crowning event of the season. '
In addition, a one-act playlet under the direction of Miss Gertrude Weiner and Mrs. B. W. Abramson'will be staged by the following select cast: Mesdames Ben Grossman, Aaron G. I-Iassell,' Max Bogatin, Leon Nasoh; Morris Polster and Herman Rosenthal.

Mrs. B, ,W. Abramson will be master of ceremonies and in charge of the pro¬ gram for the Tea meeting of Columbus Chapter of National Hada.s.'sah, which wilt take place at the Lazarus Tea room, on Tuesday, May 23, at 2 p. ra. This will bc the finjil meeting of the season.
The opening prayer will be offered by Mrs. Marcus Burnstine. Reports for the entire year will bc rendered by the vJirious chairmen of the board. Mrs. Herman Lieverman, 1025 Lockbourne Koad, will preside. She w\\\ at this time give a complete report on Hadassah's yearly accomplisliments.
Dr. B. W. Abramson, vice president of the Ohio Zionist Region, a member of American Jewish Congress and former President of the local Zionists, will in¬ stall the new officers and .directors.
Mrs. J. K. Bornstein, chairman of the nominating committee will present the following names; President, Mrs. Her¬ man Lieverman; First Vice President, Mrs. Alla:n Tarshish; Financial Secre¬ tary, Mrs. J. The pi-ogram, "Hadassah Revue of 1033," which will be presented during the course of the afternoon, will inchide Miss Lodabellc Smith, famous juvenile singer and dancer; Mrs. Estelle Fisher Rosebcrry, vocalist; and Mrs. Lester Thall and Mrs. Bernard Feitlinger. The Hadassah chorus is composed of Mes¬ dames Robert Mellman, Max Schotten¬ stein,' Lester Thall; Solomon Rivlin, Mordecai Hirschsprung, Louis Nachman, Justin Sillman, Bernard Feitlinger, Rob¬ ert Suid, A. W. Robbins, S. Malmol, and Miss Rose Sugarman. The children who will participate in the program are Jerry F^ivlin, Billy Roth, Miriam Lieverman, Beverly Thall, Barbara Piatt, Marjorie Anne Yalman, and Avrcm Sillman.

Prominent Zionist Will Ad¬ dress Meeting Here Tuesday Evening
Israel Mereminsky, member of the .\ctions Committee of the World Zion¬ ist Organization, and foremost Yiddish speaker of the times, will address a meeting at the Agudath Achini Syna¬ gogue on Tuesdaj'' evening. May" 23, at 8:15 p. m.
Mr. Mereminsky is touring the coun¬ try as a delegate of the Federation of Pioneers, in Palestine, and only recently arrived in this country. He is known throughout the world, not only for his activities in connection with the World Zionist Organization, but also as or¬ ganizer of the first Pioneer movements in Central Europe and Palestine. He is at present Secretary of the General Labor Federation in Palestine. Follow¬ ing the completion of his present toiir, he will leave America next month to take part in the preparations for the coming World Zionist Congress.
Mr. Mereminsky will speak on the. present situation in Gerniany, discussing the Hitler regime, as well as outlining the latest developments in Palestine. The coming visit of Mr. Mereminsky is his first apitearaiice in Columbus since four years ago, wlien he addressed a large meeting, and was acclaimed as one of the best speakers ever heard here. '
Dr. B. W- Abramson will serve as chairman for the meeting. Dr. Abram¬ son is vice president of the Ohio State Zionist Region and a member of the Executive Commiltee of the Zioiii.st Or¬ ganization of America. Rahhi Mordecai Hirschsprung of the Agudath Achim Synagogue will also be on the program.
The meeting is being sponsored by the Jewisii National Workers' Alliance and the local Pioneers of Palestine, in cooperation with the locaL Zionist Dis¬ trict and other organizations.
Mayor Worley to Address Jewish Federation Meet¬ ing, May 25

Beth Jacob Sisterhood to Take Over Victor Theatre
The Vielh Jacob Sisterhood -will take over the Victor Tlieatre un Monday and Tuesday evenings, June 5th and Oth, at whicli time will lie presented Lionel Bar¬ rymore in "Sweepings." This picture appeared recently at one of the down¬ town theatres, and was most favorably criticized. Those who did not get an ijpportunity to see it, will be afforded the chatice now at a nominal cost of 15 cents on the evenings f)f June 5tb aud Oth.
