York, was none other than tlie late wife.of Al¬ iens Goldsmith, who is now on the faculty of the University in Exile... People are wondering what is happen¬ ing to the relief campaign sponsored by the Federation ol Polish Jews m Anierica.l.It start<|d off with a bang and now seems to have flopped... Maurice David, author of "Who Was Columbusi*" tells us that in Japan the swastika is used as the emblem of houses of prostitution... In other words, the German national enjoys great popularity in the' land of the Mikado... David won at literary prize of quite a substantial sum from the Spanish :Academy of Literature for his book on Colunibug, but hasn't got the fare to go to Spain to collect... E. J. Chayfitz is one of the crack agents (G-men to you) of the De¬ partment of Justice...The Israel Day Nursery in New York is running a benefit at Slinsky's burlesque theatre ...Dr. Joseph Rosen, head of the Agro-Joint work in Russia, has re¬ turned to Moscow just as quietly as he arrived in this country a couple of weeks ago,. ..David Lipsky, son of Louis Lipsky, the Zionist, is now in the motion picttire game...He has established headquarters in the Title Guarantee Building of St. Ixiuis, and is waiting for orders to flow in for the feature film, "The Land of Prom¬ ise", which be is handling...

In keeping with the spirit of Pass¬ over "Feast ot Liberation", the Ohio Jewish Chronicle cannot help but urge ujion: every Jewish resident of Co¬ ltimbus and Franklin county, who is qualified to vote, but has not yet registered, that he is not a truly free roan or woman unless he has fulfilled the rights of suffrage which he pos¬ sesses, and which ih fairness and de¬ cency he should exercise.
In championing the cause of decent citizenship, the Chronicle feels that we owe it to ourselves as citizens and as Jews, to register immediately. The deadline for unregistered voters or others who have moved since the last election, in order to vote for the May Vi primary, is Monday, April 13. Persons becoming of age on or before the November election are eligible to register and vote at the primary.
Another point stressed by William Donahue, clerk of thc Board of Elec¬ tions, is that electors who have failed to cast ballots in the last Iwo elec¬ tions, or have changed (heir names by marriage, divorce qr probate court action, must register again.
