In his, report,. President Alfred, M.. Cohen declared that the ."upbuilding and increased absorptive capacity*' of Pales¬ tine "must be regarded as thc sacred duty of every Jctv ajid of every Jewish orgp.ni- zatioii. In a message to the National Confer^ ence for Palestine, which met in Wash¬ ington, D.C. at'the same time,, Pi-e^ident Cohen's announcemerit that such projects 'were being considered by the Order cre¬ ated a wave of cBithusiasm. ;

The German refugee situation was dis¬ cussed at length by the Executive Com¬ mittee. .
: ''No matter how carefully the problem is, studied," President Cohen declared in his report, "the answer points more and more,-to ;Palestiue as. the world stands at present."
He said that this problem "will .require the united effort of all organizations and individuals aware of and alert tb the present Jewish peril" and that "the salva¬ tion of ¦ German Jewry is primarily, if not altogether, the task of world Jewry.". Discussing the Samuel-Bearsted-Marks proposal to take 100,000 Jews from Ger¬ many, .he said: \.

Ladies' Zion Lodge Auxiliary Continues Membership Drive
Ladies' Zion Lodge Auxiliary, which was organized to aid the B'nai B'rith in its care of the sick, its fostering of orphans, its education of Jfe^^sh yoitth, its protection of Jewish interests at home ^nd abroad, arid the maintenance of its Hiilel Foundations, urge Columbus Jew¬ iah Women to join its ranks now.
