LONDON (WNS)—Indications that Hitler's plans for a Jewish "reservation!' in the Lublin area of Nazi Poland are being push¬ ed by the Gestapo so that all Jews living in countries under Nazi domination may be remov¬ ed Into the ghetto-state by the end of March, 1940, are evident in the establishment of a spec¬ ial agency attached to the Ges¬ tapo headquarters at Maehrisch- dstrau to handle the transfer of Jews. The frontier town ot Machrisch-Ostrau, which lies on the border betweeh Czechia and Nazi Poland, is the transfer point from which thousands ot Jews who lived In Austria, Czecho-SIovakla, Nazi-dominat'- ed Poland, Germany and from the provinces of Posen and Sil¬ esia, will be sent into the ghetto- state. At least 5,000 Jews were rounded up by the Gestapo in Germany and transported to Maehrisch-Cfetrau, according to reliable information reaching here which disclosed that Hitler plans to transport 200,000 Ge*- mim Jews to the Jewish state. Further Indications that the Nazis have completed plans for the establishment ot a Jewish ghctto-istate aro seen in the re¬ cent dispatch to tho Netherlands, iifiW3pap«r "Ilet Vollt", -wjllch , cstlmutca tliut Hie"Jtjif7.32v'*^cir5-- ervatioh" would bo approximate¬ ly 6,730 square miles In area to which no less than 3,000,000 Jews will be transported, 2,000,- 000 from Poland proper. "Het Volk" further disclosed that Hit¬ ler plans to send 200,000 .Tews from the Reich, 150,000 from Czechia, 05,000 from Austria, 30,000 from Posen and Silesia, and 50,000 from Slovakia, Into the ghetto state. By the end ot March, 1940 all Jews from countries under Nazi domination other than Poland will have been, removed to the area sur¬ rounding Lublin, in the south¬ east portion ot former Poland. Meanwhile thousands of Jews have been uprooted from their homes in Austria, crowded in¬ to cattle cars and brought to the frontier town ot Maehrlsch-Os- trau where they wait an un¬ known fate. They are not al¬ lowed to leave the trains and Jews living in tlio town are not permitted to bring either food or clothing to the unfortunate refugees. PARIS (WNS)—The proposed concentration ot Jews In a separate state has brought tear and apprehension to Jews in Vienna, according to advices which said that riiahy Jews are fleeing from the city and hiding to avoid removal to the "reserva¬ tion." ' ¦ Score Hitler Plan ' NEW. YORK (WNS)—The "New York Times" declared edi¬ torially that the establishment of a ghetto-state In Poland is a Hitler plot to set up a Nazi-dom¬ inated buffer-state wherein Jews will have no ecpnomie authority and where hunger and priyation will be widespread. LONDON (WNS)—Germany's removal ot Jews to the Lublin district of Nazi Poland is de¬ nounced by Foreign Under.secre- taiy Richard A. Butler who said that there is no reason to be¬ lieve that the reports about con¬ centration ot Jews in the Lub¬ lin area are not substantially 1 correct. 1- '?"•-¦ A,..-.:.;- • it J - .1 r *-\r.'--;... t '^s^,'Ji'-'^''(Sx:'i--:.-: .*iT,a,^j ,f^^_i.j, tJSi^i" .fi^^-.i
