Local Jewish Youth CaUed To City-Wide Rally Monday, June 17
The Junior Division of the United Jewish Fund of Colum¬ bus, announces a city-wide youth rally to be held in the vestry of the Broad St. Temple on Monday, June 17, at 7:30 P. M.
The Columbus Youth Council, Junior Division sponsor, urges every yoimg man and woman of the community to be present that evening in order to get a true picture of the present grave emergency of our people abroad. It is a call for health and reconstruction, for hope, courage and determination. It is a challenge to the mighty forces of darkness and destruc¬ tion which are mobilized against us.

The selection of Columbus as host to the 89th annual convention in 1941 and the election of I. W. Garek, well known attorney of this city, as second vice-president, were among the highlights of District No. 2 B'nai B'rith conven¬ tion iield during the past week at the Commodore Perry Hotel in Toledo, 0. More than 500 delegates from eight states comprising the district were in attendance at the three day session which also included the 7th annual women's grand lodge convention.
In the keynote address Sun¬ day, J. Eugene Farber, district president, described American Jewry as the beacon of the oji- pressed among their people everywhere, just as America is the standard bearer of social ideali.sm for the whole world. Contacting Every Alien In Columbus
Aim Of Council Citizenship Committee
Due to the large amount of antlallen legislation proposed during the past few weeks, the Americanization and Citizen¬ ship committee of the Council of Jewish Women is making a concerted effort to reach as many aliens as possible in an attempt to assist them In filing their citizenship papers.
Among the proposed anti-alien measures are federal registra¬ tion and fingerprinting of all aliens, disbarment from many types of work and general strict supervision. This sentiment
may be expected to increase.
The Council of Jewish Wo¬ men is calling attention to the following facts:
1) The nncomfortaWe posi¬ tion In which all aliens may soon be placed.
2) At tho Bchonthal Center, 55S B. Rich St., free services ore available every Monday, Tnes- day, Wednesday and Thursday nights In answering questions on citizenship. In procuring nec¬ essary tacts and tbe alien may have forgotten and especially In helping till ont and tile citizen, ship papers.

this connection attention Is cal led to the fact that American women who married aliens be¬ fore Sept. 22, 1922 lo.st their citizenship throngh marriage and are not citizens unless they have since (lied papers (even though tbelr husbands have since become naturalized.) Allen women who married American citizens since Sept. 22, 1922 did not gain citizenship tbrongh such marriage but must file thoip'own papers.
Organizations assisting the Council of Jewish Women in this work include the B'nai B'rlth with B. B. Friedman in charge of the local Americani¬ zation committer and Frank V. Bayer, Americanlzatlonl vice chairman of this district of B'nai B'rith; the B'nai B'rith Women's Auxiliary under the leadership of Mrs. Dave Goodman and the Jewish War Veterans headed by David Pastor.

Phillip Morris Co. To Redeem Wrappers For Hadassah

The Columbus Chapter of Hadassah has this week been Informed that the Phillip Mor¬ ris Tobacco Co., has granted Hadassah Chapters the exclu¬ sive privilege of redeeming Phillip Morris wrappers, the cash proceeds of which will be used towards Youth AUyah.
Local collections of the wrap¬ pers will be made by a commit tee headed by Mrs. Louis Phll- lipa, chairman of Youth AUyah. Hadassah's Youth AUyah pro¬ ject finances the removal of children from war-stricken countries into Palestine and their rehabilitation in that country.
