RABBIS VOTE TO CONTINUE ANTI- ZIONIST PROGRAM
CINCINNATI (JPS)—The rab¬ binical members of the Ameri¬ can Council for Judaism, hav¬ ing taken a. poll among them-' selves following nation-wide criticism of their anti-Ztonlst activities, have "overwhelming¬ ly" declared themselves "agaipst liquidation of the organization".
This statement was made by Rabbl Louis Wolsey of Phila¬ delphia In a letter to Rabbi James G. Heller, President of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, who had suggested at a meeting In Baltimore between Zionist rabbis and their antl- Zlonlst colleagues that the Coun¬ cil should be abandoned In re¬ turn for the adoption ot a "neu¬ trality" clause by the C. C. A, R.

"Hlllel Night" will be cele¬ brated at the Joint meeting next Tuesday, March 2nd, of the B'nal B'rith Men's Lodge and B'nal B'rith Women, 8 P. M., at the East Broad Street Temple. , As In all previous years, the entire program is being arranged by student members of the Hillel Foundation at Ohio State Uni¬ versity.

AMERICAN RED GROSS REPORTS MANY JEWISH DONORS TO BLOOD PLASMA COllECTIONS
NEW YORK (JPS)—Instead of being a "compromise", as it was hailed by the American Jew¬ ish Committee, the statement on Palestine adopted by that body at its recent annual meeting "represents a retrogression from previous positions", it was as¬ serted by the American Emer¬ gency Committee for Zionist Af¬ fairs, In the first official com¬ ment by the Zionists to emphas¬ ize that the docm-nent offers "no acceptable compromise on the essential demands of Zionism".
The Statement of the Emer¬ gency Committee served to stress the growing rift between Zionists and anti-Zionists, even though Joseph Proskauer, on be¬ ing elected president of the American Jewish Commiitee, a.s- serted that the Sommittee's view were an effort to bridge the dif¬ ferences between tho two groups. It was r\-ealccl by the Emergency Committee that for fifteen month.s negotiations had been carried on with the American Jewish Committee in an effort to arrive at a genuine compromi.se It is implied Ihat further discus¬ sions with the Commiitee would lead, nowhere. Parents Receive Word Their Son Is Alive In Philippines
George Washington's birthday last Monday w'as a double holi¬ day celebration for Mr. and Mrs- Harry Brown, 1049 Oakwood .\ve. For on that day the Browns had received word from the Adjutant General's office that their -son. l.st Ueutenant David Brown was alive, a cap¬ tive of the Japanese government.,
"If I were notified that $100,- 000 were left to me by a long lost kin, I could not have had ' the thrill and Joy as 1 did when we received this telegram of our toy's safely", declared the happy father.
Lieut. Brown graduated from Ohio State University Medical School In 1035, Interned at the Jewish Hospilal in Cincinnati for one year and later served as pllysi<ian in various C. C.' C. camps. He also took up post¬ graduate work in New York, specializing in Ear, Nose and Throat.
Heing a reserve officer, Lletit. Drown was ordered to the Phil¬ ippines, in August 1041, where he remained until the Japs cap¬ tured the island.s. Lasl May his parents received two letters from him and nothing ' more ' was heard of his safety until last Monday.
