Description-Abstract	Large bird effigy has a large cylindrical pipe bowl rising from the middle of its back. A flattened, cylindrical tube emerging from the tail of the bird serves as the opening for a pipe stem. The right wing is missing. Three holes drilled in the broken face suggest that pegs were inserted to repair the item prehistorically. The left wing is complete, beveled and incised with short, parallel lines representing feathers. The eyes are deep, flat-bottomed concavities that originally had some sort of insert or inlay. Artistic style is typical of the Copena Culture of Tennessee. The pipe is very dark gray in color.
