Full Text	M. E. CHURCH, CLYDE, OHIO, December 25, 1898 Peter Pointz was born in slavery. His honesty of purpose, faithfulness to duty and faith in the Savior of men, made his life a benediction. He died March 28, 1898. His body lies in McPherson cemetery Peter Pointz was of the race that is called inferior; and yet. who assisted Christ in bearing- the cross to Calvary? a negro. Who carried the gospel into Ethiopia? a negro. Who organized the first Sunday School in North America? a negro. Who was the first missionary to the Indians of Ohio? a negro.
