Friend Rotch
I have recently recd two Letters
from you one on the subject of the
manufacturing the wool into Cloth
& the other respecting the purchasing of
Wool. - I very much regret that there
should have been any difficulty on the
price of manufacturing the Wool or
on the subject of credit for the transfer
time that we wanted you to give us
a credit for your labour on the wool
until we could have a reasonable time
to sel the Cloth - & as to the average
it
price for manufacturing I see^does not
exceed what you stated in your letter to
Jacob, yet the quality of the Cloth may
not justify the Prices stated - You men-
tion that you can get wool for Thirty cents
on a credit. I [illegible] certainly advise you
to atke it - had I any to dispose of I cou
-ld not think of selling it as low as that
our poorest wool we have sent to [illegible]
ses to be manufactured & our first
rate Wool we expect to let the Steu-
-benville factory have - We should
not feel justified in leting you have
the Wool which you have made into
cloth for us short of 69 1/2 cts for lb.
