You favour of the 16th
of last month has just come to hand, and
in reply can inform you that any order
from you will be immediately attended to
I can furnish a set of Irons for a picking
machine (or what is in most places called a
wool dresser) in three weeks after receiving
an order or a machine ready finishd and
delivered in Newyork in five weeks - the prices
of the irons, with brass boxes, teeth finishd, with
screws and castings of every kind necessary and
boxd ready for transportation & Delivered in NYork
will be forty eight dollars - a machine compleatly
finishd will be seventy five dollars - this is
with a 30 inch cillindar
calculated for a two feet machine ^ that will
pick wool sufficient for 4 or 5 Double carding
machines, if the picker is only wanted for
common county work a cheaper one will
answer the purpose -- there will be a considerable
difficulty in drawing a plan and giving such
directions to one not acquainted : that they will be
able to build a machine so well as those that
