I take the liberty of drop you a few lines, for I hear
that you have come to this state, and brought a large
drove of Merino Sheep, and taht your intentions is
to settle in some part of the eastern part of the State
And to erect a Manufactory I think you might suit
yourself at or near this town, for I am of opinion that
the county of Columbiana in equal if not Superior
to any in the State. Altho our soil is not so black
& loamy as some others are but has the appearance
of clay, yet it is natral to grass & to all kind of
smal grain. our town is situate on a large Creek
altho in consequence of the grate fall it is not
Navagable, but presents us with every advantage
of waterworks and has water sufficient in the dryest
seasons tot do business, we have a furnace in full
blast within one mile of town & a number of grist
